I was listening to my iPod today and started thinking about how many male artist don’t have the best singing voice, but is still praised and loved for his music. Artists off the top of my head would be Bob Dylan, Jeff Mangum, Conor Oberst ect. Now I love each of these musicians, but there voices usually are categorized as shaky, and overall not the best voices out there, but people love them including me. Then I tried to think of a female artist that would fall into this same category and I could not think of one. Do you think that it is just more accepted for men to have bad singing voices than women? or am I just overlooking the female singers like this. Why do you think this is?
