Get good quality sleep the night before. If you think you’re putting 7–8 hours and still feel tired, you may be suffering from a sleeep disorder, like apnia, that wears your body down even after a long sleep. You should consult with a sleep disorder specialist.
At the time you need to stay awake, and caffeine is not an option, try snacking on chocolates . . . wash your face with cool water . . . do some stretching.
When we were children trying to pull all nighters, my cousin would spray himself with a water bottle when he caught his eyes closing. When he actually fell asleep, it was my job to spray him which was pretty fun. Just recruit someone to do the same for you maybe?
@All,thank you!. @limeaide Wet my face with cold water?. I’ve tried that before and I feel fresher after that, but when my wet eyes vaporized it makes me even sleepier.
Methamphetamine works although it’s really bad for your teeth, face, heart, lungs & brain not to mention the sores. Maybe you should just try a 20 minute nap and some Chai Tea with Honey.
@Trillian lol, I hadn’t thought about that. @ElleBee I somewhat considered that, but considering not getting enough sleep isn’t good for you either I figured I’d run with it.
Most effective for me is Aerobic exercise or Yoga. Yoga breathing and cool down techniques work best. Yoga stretches help me relax. I use to do mediation too; which is great if you can.
A good Yoga teacher can help.
I take Melatoin and it helps.
