What my career plans are now are definitely different from what they were in 10th grade. I was convinced that I wanted to be a School Psychologist, but all it took was one Psychology class for me to realize that it really wasn’t the field for me. My sister, on the other hand, was convinced that she wanted to do fashion merchandising, so she went to a school that really only excelled in that field. She’s since felt constricted by her choice and is looking at transferring to a school that will afford her more options.
Basically, take some different classes and don’t lock yourself into a certain field without options because you may get into it and decide that it really isn’t what you want to do in the long run. If you want to work with people, try taking some Psychology or Sociology classes. If you think you might want to do something with management or run your own business, try taking some business classes.
