just soak your hair in kool-aid, but it probably wont work unless you have blonde or light hair. i wouldn’t do hydrogen peroxide at home unless you want to burn all of your hair off.
I’ve only done kool-aid, on someone else’s hair. A blonde friend got a really lovely bright pink color from the cherry kool-aid. Basically if you use hot water the kool-aid dye job will be permanent.
As for henna, that will be good if you have dark hair to give it a red hue. Try looking it up on youtube, I’m sure there are videos that can show you how.
Henna is a good one, like @Facade said, but only if you have no intention of chemically dyeing your hair in the future – at least until the henna-treated hair is completely gone from your head.
Henna reacts funnily with chemical dyes, and you can end up with splotches of all kinds of funny colours you never intended to see.
if you make a strong tincture of cloves (boiling water + a handful of whole cloves, steeped ½ hour, strained, then allowed to cool), and apply it to your hair, let it sit for 30 minutes, then rinse, you can gradually get some nice reddish highlights.
