Why are they called "tweakers"?

Tweakers are called that because people using crystal methamphetamine are constantly needing to fix, adjust or fine tune (or tweak) things to be “just right”. Cleaning, washing, organizing, going through the mail, etc.

It’s a negative name for “Twitter”

It is a tool we use here at the TV station. Called a Tweaker.

also, since it is an amphetamine, and a stimulant, some people constantly shake and talk really fast and whatnot…. tweaked.
