Do A Line haircuts look good messy?

I have straight semi thick hair. I like to keep my hairstyle simple by just brushing it through w/ a comb. I don’t like using gel, hairspray or a straightening iron. I was wondering if an a line haircut would look good messy. I am Asian if that helps and do not have fine hair. Or if you have any other advice or ideas on what haircut I should get. I would like to get a shoulder length haircut and I have been using the same style of years which is just layering my hair. I want a low maintenance haircut

I have straight, thick, Asian hair, too, except I’d probably call my hair fine. Here are some looks I am liking right now:

this bob, this, and this, and this.

I am liking blunt cuts, which can be achieved with thick hair by “thinning out” your hair under the top layer of hair so that the layers are not visible.

I think an a-line haircut would look messy if you don’t take the time to flat iron and blow dry it out, but this is just a guess from looking at others with this cut as I have always just assumed it is too high maintenance for me.

Another low maintenance cut might be something like this. I don’t have super straight hair, there is a tiny bit of wave to it so it sometimes can look like a straighter version of this with little effort.

Do you have bangs? Do you want them? I think this is nice and would look fine if it gets a bit tousled during the day. This is also one that I think would look ok when not perfect.

I have bangs, but they aren’t short. They go way past my eyes and I tend to sweep them out of the way.
