What is a good place to skateboard around in San Jose, Santa Clara or Milpitas?

I’m thinking about empty public parking lots that won’t have security guards coming after you. I am aware of the Van’s skatepark, but would rather not have to pay to skate around. I just want to skate at a place that is free.

There must be free skateparks around the area. I searched Google Maps and a few came up like one in Sunnyvale and one in Santa Clara by a middle school. I’m pretty sure you don’t have to pay to go to any of those. Or is that not really what you’re looking for?

(I’m in Santa Clara County right now, Palo Alto, but I’m not too familiar with San Jose).
