Well, a “gendered” way, to but it very basically, might mean that “if it’s a boy, he wears blue and plays with toy trucks” but “if it’s a girl, she wears pink and plays with dolls.” A gender neutral way might mean that the child can play with whatever toy they prefer, wear whatever color they like, and learn that they don’t have to conform to gender norms. They might also encourage little Suzy or Bobby to be whatever they want when they grow up – she can be President, he can be a stay-at-home parent, or vice versa – they’re not limited in their aspirations because of their gender.
