I’m a rocker chick :-). But I will admit I do like to listen to techno while Im working out, especially on the treadmill. Makes me go faster! Please don’t tell anyone ;-X
Bodyrockers…‘I like the way you move’...proper proper good song to exercise to….almost makes me want to go to the gym…but think it best that I retire to bed and release some endorphins another day otherwise I’ll be hyper all night…sure my SO won’t appreciate it…or maybe he will lol :-)
I love to listen to Five Finger Death Punch, Sevendust, Drowning Pool, Disturbed, Atreyu, and etc. These are harder rock bands. These bands really get my adrenaline pumping. I also see it as they are yelling at me to work harder lol.
I don’t really like to listen to music while working out. I feel limited when I do. I love the sound of my breath, my heartbeat, my feet hitting the floor. (I do listen before a competition)
But I can see the advantages to get pumped. Maybe some heavy rap, lots of bass.
Dance music is typical, but really, anything with a steady beat that won’t annoy you is fine, depending on how you exercise.
I can exercise to just about anything.
