I'm looking for an internship in Alaska...
That starts after April and ends by mid-July, is mostly if not all field work related to ecology, wildlife biology, or botany, and does not involve trail building. I’ve searched endlessly and have found a couple ornithology projects, and a couple of interesting botany projects that are too long-term. I’d be more interested in working with mammals than birds. Anyone know of anything?
Also, how competitive are these positions typically? I figure when the pay is a couple bucks a day, they’d be willing to take inexperienced people that want to learn, but maybe it’s different in the natural sciences?
I’d be open to something in Washington or Oregon or BC, Canada…
