Some banks that operate credit card services fully deserve to be mistrusted. They are scammers and usurers and dishonest providers. If they are based in Wilmington, Delaware, I won’t even look at them.
If you feel that you are getting screwed (for example, you send your payments on time, but somehow they keep getting posted “late” and you get dinged for outrageous charges and your APR goes up, and the wait on the phone for a real “customer service” person is an hour or more, and then you get disconnected), RUN.
I’m no financial advisor, but I’d say go to your own bank, the one that serves your regular banking business, and ask them for an application. And then read everything carefully and check out customer complaints online.
