“Great Question” (1points)

Spring term, I’m taking 4 classes and a CPR class. I looked up and totaled the amount my books would cost. From the college’s bookstore, it’d be between $400 and $300. The leftover from my
Pell grant is only about $100. So, I’m not paying for my books. They rent books but, not suprispingly, none of them are mine. What’s a good website that I can buy or rent them from? Please include any personal experience, it’ll help. :)

Kinkos. It takes a long time but you can photocopy books you borrow from people in your class. I did it a bunch. And most of the time you don’t need all the pages.

I was in a government class and we only used 20 pages from the glossary. It was a 80 dollar book. I photocopied what I needed for a few bucks.

half.com is awesome. I got a used book that my campus bookstore wanted $50 for for only $8, including shipping.

www.amazon.com

i can’t wait till a couple years from now when all are available on devices like the iPad.

freshmen year, I bought all the books, I paid about 500 bucks. Sophomore year I bought the “study guides” that were published based on “note takers” that sat in the classes.

Those ranged from $10 to $40, and were GREAT. Just a thought. . . those paired with actually going to class and you can get A’s (I did!)
