I guess I had to find the silver lining in my situation, so at night, I journal. Each night, I write what I need to write and then I add a couple of things to the end. If something bothered me, I write about it and try to resolve it in my head – or at least make a plan of action to deal with the issue. Then, I write what I am grateful for – some are silly things, some are deeper issues. I don’t always write five, but I write something daily. It’s amazing how much it can impact you, if you allow the possibility of change. I’m not saying you will blossom into something different overnight, but you sure might change how you look at some stuff that happens – over time.
