Which is it? When you mean that someone is very focused, are they razor focused or laser focused?
Laser
The traditional figure-of-speech is “razor-sharp,” but while I had my back turned, someone might have invented something using laser.
In any case, you can’t focus a razor. “Razor-sharp” can be taken literally or figuratively but I would not use it as a synonym for “focused.”
Laser focus. Razors are for cutting, lasers pinpoint. I like to pinpoint my focus and prefer to cut with a knife.
They are just focused,,,no need for distracting words to describe it ;)
Lucille wins.
Cutting Edge..
I’m with Lucille…I’ve never heard razor or laser focus. Locked in, sharp focus, things like that, maybe.
Laser focus is common, but Lucille still wins, skip the extra words for clarity.

And “cutting edge” is used for an external thing…technology or the best mouse trap.
