Aw, Jesus. This will make me cry, so I’ll use the KISS method. I made a compilation of music for each of my daughters that will help them achieve the attitudes and outlooks in life that will keep them open to joy and love.
I also have written tons of things to each of them. Some of the things I wrote outline my own mistakes, and the reasons that some of the decisions I made did not work. Above all else, their mistakes are forgivable, they are loved, and they are perfect just the way they are. To rejoice in the folly of being human is the most freeing experience one can ever have, and will afford them a look at the rich vein of humor in life’s subtext that casual glances don’t reveal.
There are so many things I’ve written to them! It saddens me more than I can express, should I have to leave them without a mother to encourage them, to guide them, to love them, and to care for them. I wrote everything down so that I could still be beside them, in case my time here ends too soon. I would surely miss them.
