Hmm – I guess I should explain it…
Bubble tea: You start with Black Tea or Green Tea (depending on the flavor you want)
My fave is plain. So Just Green or Black tea with milk and Tapioca pearls, known as Boba.
It is called bubble tea because of the mixing procedure. When you shake the tea in a bar shaker, with ice inside, you get bubble forming when you pour it into the cup. Bubbles means its been mixed well.
There are many different flavors, and it is usually made by tea plus fruit extract/jam, milk, and tapioca pearls, or fruit jelly known as nata de coco.
My fave flavors are: Plain, taro, almond, mango, coconut.
Bubble tea can also come without milk. There, my favorite is litchee tea.
It was a big fad in Taiwan, and made it across to the US.
Are there anyone who tried it and didn’t like it? For those that have not tried – I suggest you do try it for once!
