I love homemade spa products, and they’re so much fun to make! It’s just an added plus that they are so good for your skin!
Do remember when using these products that natural doesn’t always mean incapable of doing harm. An almond paste is not the product you want to put on your nut-allergic friend’s face. Use common sense.
Facials:
Oat and Honey scrub (for oily skin)
– Beat a tablespoon of uncooked oatmeal to a coarse powder with a mortar and pestle, or grind in a coffee grinder or (dry) blender
– Mix with enough honey to make a good paste.
– Gently scrub into face using wet fingertips, and rinse well with clear water.
Strawberries and Cream Facial Peel (not for sensitive skin)
– Mix ¼ cup of milk with 1–2 chopped strawberries in a blender.
– Apply to face with cotton balls.
– Leave on for no more than five minutes.
– Rinse with clear water
Mango Scrub (very moisturizing!)
– Peel mango.
– Eat mango.
– Rub mango peel on skin.
– Wait five minutes
– Rinse.
I have tons of ‘em. ^_^
