Graphic Design project for school. We are redesigning currency for individual states. I got Wisconsin, and now we need to make an info graphic for one of our spreads…

Can anyone help me find the information for the population of people in Wisconsin from 2000–2010? Same for cows…
I tried using the census, but I could only find certain years and only for people.

Please help!

Contact the Wi Secretary of Agriculture’s office for the cow data. The department of health services should have the population data. You probably will only get information to about 2008. It takes a while to collect and compile all the data for a given year, then put it into report form.

Here population data for people

Once you find the cow data, do something cool like have a cow and a person jumping over the moon in the top right and vertical bar graphs for cows and people each year.

You could also try any of the major milk producing states Departments of Agriculture, or Cornell University, Penn State, etc

So, based on Cazzie’s first link there, i used the following search term in Google:
dairy cows Wisconsin Agricultural Statistics Service (WASS) 2009

This gave me a report with the number of dairy cows for 2009 on page 2

I suspect you could find the rest the same way by just changing the year in the search term.
