black eyed peas – ‘I’m a Be”
India arie – “india’s song’
actually any of her songs will touch your soul and inspire you to be a better person. That should help motivate you to keep your goals in sight, don’t you think?

@bob_
I read the details, but the only ones i know are Madonna, Rihanna, and Daft Punk.
Will think for a minute more.

Ah, how about this: Bomfunk MC’s – Freestyler ?

@rebbel Appreciated.

Oh, throw some 70s disco in there. The mainstream stuff is about 120bpm if you go by that. Pretty much anything by The Bee Gees pre-1980, like You Should Be Dancin’ or Jive Talkin’ is good for warming up. They’re not too fast.

But since you live in the now, I’ll suggest these dance-punk bands: LCD Soundsystem, YACHT, Hot Chip, !!!, MIA, or Les Savy Fav. Gorillaz’ Feel Good Inc. is also a good tune for working out.

youtube dnb. any one of those work. even the slow ones have a really fast, upbeat drum tempo. eclectic might work to if you like that kind of stuff

Glad I can snatch some ideas here, too! :)

I find that I simply need something with a strong beat.

A lot of The Prodigy, but particularly Firestarter, Spitfire and Smack My Bitch Up.
Going the Distance by Cake Short Skirt Long Jacket is another good one.
Are You Gonna Go My Way by Lenny Kravitz
Burn It To The Ground by Nickelback
Rebel Yell by Billy Idol
Crazy Bitch by Buckcherry
Down With the Sickness by those people I can’t think of right now.
Gangsta Luv by Snoop Dogg
Gimme Some Mo’ by Busta Rhymes
Here I go Again by Whitesnake
Hey Ya by OutKast
I Invented the Night by Electric 6
Touch It by Monifah
Paralyzer by Finger Eleven
RPM by Sugar Ray
She Wants to Move by N.E.R.D. Lapdance is good, too.
Testify by Rage Against The Machine
Virtual Insanity by Jamiroquai
Start Me Up by the Stones
You’re a Champion by 2 Skinnee J’s

Chemical Brothers – Block Rockin’ Beats
Justice – Phantom
Daft Punk – The Brainwasher
Arctic Monkeys – Brianstorm
Fatboy Slim – Right Here, Right Now
The Faint – Glass Danse
Foals – Mathletics

Those are a few of my favorites, mostly leaning towards the electronic side. All upbeat, though.
