why is there a p in pwned?

it originated with the online gamers. when they ‘owned’ someone, they often mistyped a ‘p’ instead of the ‘o’ and it stuck. pwned.

Because otherwise it would just be wned and that’s kind of hard to say.

Alot of internet speak has come that way. “teh” is a great example of the word “the” being misspelled so often that when typed as “teh” it portrays itself in such a comic light. i.e.

“Oh noezz, not teh kitty!”

I’ve got to be honest. I hate all of it. From LOL to 1337, it makes me want to commit hate crimes.
