@SeventhSense , that’s a legal issue, which is real, but I was speaking outside of the realm of the law.
I’d definitely take the law into account as a potential threat or obstacle and act accordingly.
That’s how I normally live my life. I try to obey the golden rule of doing unto others as I would have them do unto me That rule is applied in my answer to this question.
As for the law, that’s just a framework set in place for social order. American law is pretty cool and works relatively well, but it doesn’t make all legal obedience proper or just. The reduction of suffering is more important to me than obedience to codified rules.
