For someone who’s played video games as long as I have, there’s definitely an infinite amount of those.
Demon Souls – more of uncontrolled frustration. Fighting Tower Knight for the first time? I thought the same was just made impossible. Now, he’s almost pathetic.
Nier – The first “Fishing quest” you get requires you to be doing it in a specific area. Well, me and a friend decided to just run up to the first sighting of ocean water we saw and fish. We fished for about half hour and caught nothing but sea weed and rusty pales. Then we went towards the marking on the map… took 5 seconds to catch a fish.
RPG’s with wacky, annoying music – These seem to be infamous for doing this sort of thing, so that the music just plays on and on while your frustration builds and builds…
Silent hill 5 – Doing that sliding puzzle in the attic. I was sliding that puzzle around for ages.
The old Tomb Raiders – Forget it.
Zelda: Ocarina of Time – The water temple. Eehgh.
The list goes on and on, I’ll have to check back sometime.
