I feel overwhelming humility. My biggest wonder is wanting to know what else is out in space, in those millions of other galaxies. It reminds me of how we are just a bunch of simple animals; ants on an ant farm that live and die without having any effect on the universe at all except on our own planet amongst other animals.

I have read some awesome treatises on the properties of time. This is something I’ve pondered on for a long time, and I am still awe-struck by the implications of what I have learned, and of what I still do not understand.

A Nobel Prize winning scientist I was privileged to meet when he visited a national defense laboratory where I was employed had a great deal to say about time and how it relates to our universe, particularly regarding black holes. That was very profound, learning a small part of his intelligence on this subject and seeing the unbelievable graphics he presented. It truly was a peak experience for me.
