I worked Physical Exams for the navy and most physicals will end up being several hours. You’ll have to have labs and x-rays done before the exam, then you’ll have to have hearing and eyes tested. The you get to hang out and wait with all the others as we generally do ten to twenty physicals at a time. You’ll have to fill out an SF93, patient history, which you should do before hand so the doc can look at it while you wait. Airborne? I thing you’ll have to have height measured to one tenth of an inch rather than a half, and you’ll also have to pass the color differentiation test. I think. That may only apply to pilots. Do you know if your PE goes to NAMI afterwards?
All military schools have some tings in common, and each school has it’s distinctions that will set you apart from others and give you a feeling of camaraderie. Try to stay out of cliques and the loud party group. They usually end up failing out. The first half of the training time period will be tougher on you as far as restrictions, being allowed to go off base, go to the e-club, etc.
Keep your nose clean. When I was at the clinic at Gulfport, a class went to New Orleans on liberty and over half the class contracted NGU, all because two of the guys went into a strip club and allowed a dancer to drop her castanets into their mouths from her…., from a dark moist place. They then passed it along to a couple female classmates, who passed it along to sever other males….you get the picture. Not only did they have the humiliating experience of all lining up for a mass injection, they also canceled liberty for the remainder of the training period.

Week 2 – Separate the men from the fools

Week 3 – Fools jump…

Are you talking about the getting in the Army physical, or the Airborne school making sure you are still breathing physical. Airborne school is separate from basic training. Essentially a second boot camp. lol. At least it was for me.

I don’t recall as there being much of any examination. It was just another MOS training school. They looked at my feet and had to run and do pull ups and push ups and stuff. Like I said mostly another basic training. But that was over 20 years ago. Things may have changed in that time

you move from basic to jump school yo. There is no “physical.”

Class III Flight Physical is what you will have to pass in order to go Airborne. It’s a 4 hour affair. Pretty straight forward. You’d have to pass that before you are assigned to an Airborne MOS. If you don’t pass a certain section, they can (but don’t have to) give you a waiver. The waiver will depend on what section you failed and how well you did on others. Good luck!
