Why do flies orbit you and then disappear?

“Great Question” (6points)

Why do flies orbit your head like you’re Jupiter and they’re tiny moons, and then disappear off into the ether the moment you pick up a fly swatter, only to reappear once you walk away from the fly swatter?

Have scientists done any research on this phenomenon?

Their eyes have almost 360 degree vision, they see you get the fly swatter so they fly away and wait, when they see you put it down, they come back. They are phkin with you for fun.

because they’re fanatics of the Solar System(like some Star Trek fans)and they want to act as much as possible like some parts of the solar system

Perhaps this will help? (Plus, it’s an excellent dorky read!)

Because the little bastards are smarter than we think. And rest assured the ones you do manage to swat have just taken a sip of your beer/booze and are a tad bit disoriented.
