White spirit works very well for getting glue of many kinds off.

Just make sure you don’t drink any of it or smell it. Very toxic.

At the risk of grossing you out, when it is a little bit, I simply chew it off. O.O

Otherwise it wears off in a couple days.

I think that holding your thumb under some hot water and scraping at it should help

Super glue is essentially the same thing as skin glue (the absolute worst is when you hold the cap between your teeth and get the glue on your lip!). You pretty much have to let it wear off, or sacrifice a superficial layer of skin and scrape it off.

Try nail polish remover. Hold your thumb in it for about a minute. It worked for me.

I think vaseline helps.

Nail polish remover with acetone in it, or acetone if you have that.

Third the Acetone.

Honestly, just get in the tub or shower and do your usual thing. It should peel right off.

Acetone…. it’s in old style type hairspray and in nail polish remover. Acetone is also great at removing ink and that sticky stuff left on surfaces from stickers. Don’t go overboard with it. It’s toxic too.

I agree with the acetone camp. Fingernail polish remover does the trick!

If all else fails, contact the manufacturer of the glue. They’ll know what to dissolve it with.

I agree with the acetone answers, primarily because one container I had of super glue specifically recommended using nail polish remover, based on the assumption that it contains acetone.

It may sound gross, but once I just manned up and tore my skin pulling it off. It was nothing compared to the time my hand slipped and the saw cut a swath through my leg. Good thing it was only a hand saw. I’d be wearing a prosthesis if it weren’t.

Anyway, with the superglue all I needed was a regular sized bandaid. The saw cut required stitches..

Eighth for the acetone…works for me every time. Ok, ok, so I’ve done it three or seven times.

It’s going to sound smart a!!ed but I use super glue remover. I get it at the woodworking shops around here. I’ve also heard like everyone else that acetone works.

I just went to the shop and it’s actually Super Solvent by a company named Golden West. I use Super glue by the 2 ounce bottle for my pen turning and usually have to damn near bathe in the remover after assembling pens bodies.
