CPR on dogs ?
any methods ?
I’ve tried some, because the case has occurred.
Both when a couple of my puppies were born and their mother was too lazy to lick them and when one of my older dogs was unconscious and had gone limp: no breathing, no pulse.
rubbing the throat and chest upwards seems to be efficient, but I need something more immediate.
cheers…

I found this site for Dog CPR scroll down to the bottom of the page.
The second site may be a little clearer.

Oh, wait. I found an excellent video that gives a demostration of what to do.

Excellent question btw. Always wondered but I never looked it up. If I wait till my dog needs it, it will be too late to look for instructions then.

I would call the vet. Good luck!

Check with your local fire department. They may have experience with it.

The Red Cross holds pet first aid and CPR training.

Your local humane society might have classes also.
