Do you have Shakespeare in the Park during the summer?
Where I live in a little town in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, we are opening our thirty-third annual Shakespeare in the Park today. The Hilo Community Players is presenting Love’s Labour’s Lost on a stage built completely by volunteers—as it is every year—in the middle of a downtown park.
The costumes are designed and constructed by volunteers. The actors are all volunteers. The technical aspects of the production have all been put together by volunteers.
Do you have Shakespeare in the park during the summer where you live? Do you attend? Do you enjoy it?
Or, do you even enjoy watching Shakespeare performed at all?
