That depends on what you mean by hot shoe adapter. If you mean the “adapter” that goes on the hot shoe…then get the Rode SM3 its only 50 bucks or so, last I checked.

The T2i already has a hot shoe mount on the top of the camera and works as is. The Rode videomic will attach as is.
