Few internet providers would go to the trouble of connecting you without signing you on for at least a month. Your best bet is probably an internet cafe/gaming lounge, or maybe a motel room. Many motels come with wireless internet, sometimes free, and when you ring up to book you can ask what speeds you might get there. How much would you be prepared to pay for this connection? Is it essential that you use your own computer, or can you use someone else’s and save the data on a portable storage device?
