I like my share of old school country, but didn’t go out of my way to seek it out. Hee-Haw. Every week with the Hee-Haw. I couldn’t escape it. The people I grew up with loved that cornpone stuff. I suppose the fact that my grandparents were born Southerners had something to do with it.
I totally own up to liking the Where, Where Are You Tonight? song, the Gloom, Despair and Agony on Me song and the “Repeatin’ Gossip” song. And, not for nothing, but Roy Clark and Buck Owens could play some guitar.
