Ladies, do you tend to buy concert shirts when you go to see bands/performers play?

“Great Question” (3points)

I often see men buying up shirts, but, women, not so much.

Second question; if you do buy them, do you wear them all that often? I know with some, I have them stuffed in my drawer and have maybe, worn them twice.

Yeah. I do if I am a big fan of the band. I wear them to sleep or around the house. I have a Nazareth Tshirt, Rolling Stones Tshirt, Three Doors down Tshirt.

Actually, I can almost always convince my boyfriend to buy one for me. He’s usually quite drunk at that point though. ;)

There’s not as many fitted shirts as there are t-shirts at most concerts. I assume that’s why ladies aren’t getting shirts as much as the guys are.

If it’s a festival, I’ll usually get a shirt. I have a lot of band shirts as it is, so if it’s a “normal” concert, I wont bother.

I live in t-shirts and jeans. So yes. There’s only a few that I don’t wear too often, and thats because they are entirely too big on me. They get worn to work, and that’s about it.

Not anymore. They never fit well and I hate to be a walking advertisement for anybody, no matter how much I like them. I don’t think I’ve bought a concert t-shirt since the mid 90’s.

I have loads of concert tshirts, Meat Loaf, Anastacia, Cher, Barbra Streisand, Dolly Parton, Lady Gaga etc. I tend to only buy merchandise at concerts by favorite artists/bands though.

I’m not big on t-shirts, but I’ll buy a coffee mug to support anything. Hey, is there a Fluther mug??? :-)

Yeah, I love buying t-shirts of bands I like. There’s usually a women’s size/style. I still wear my Tilly & the Wall shirt all the time, because it’s awesome looking. The baggier t-shirts I used to wear to bed a lot, but the cute fitted ones I would wear regularly.

Not so big on shirts, I’m more interested in a CD. The shirt would have to be something really extra cool, more than just a bandname screenprinted on there.

I got one when I went to see Passion Pit play at my school. I wear it often. I didn’t get one at The Expendables show, but my friend (girl) I went with got a canvas bag and she uses it a lot. The guys we went with both got t-shirts. When I saw Super Mash Bros. they didn’t have a shirt that I liked, but I got a small sticker and put it on the edge of my mirror in my room.

I used to buy them for the kids but not for myself so much.

If I see they have girlie-T styles, I will at least take a look. Boy shirts just don’t fit right at all. Most of my concert Ts are ones I happened to find at The Salvation Army or Goodwill of the bands I like.

I buy t-shirts (lots of band t-shirts, actually xD :p) and wear them as often as possible. and if I go to a concert of one of the bands I like, I wear their t-shirt

most of my clothes are band clothes

I used to but hardly wore them because I didn’t like to be a walking billboard for anyone like @tinyfaery . I saved them and gave them all to my teenaged son. He loves them.

I would, but when I did, I would want to wear it. And if I wore it, my kids would probably say things like… “mom.. you’re embarrassing me” “Mom, that’s not what moms are supposed to wear” “mom.. are you going to wear that?”

Yes, of course, always, that is until they started to cost $40.00 and $50.00, etc…. They should be $5.00 and $10.00, like they used to. After all, it is free publicity for the bands. O.K., so the cost went up for everything. Concert shirts should not be more than $20.00. Period.
