I’m always “picked up” by things my kids say. My mother in law was once talking to my oldest, who was 5 at the time, and was explaining to her about something on her cell phone. My daughter looked at her, reached for the phone and said “Technically, Nonnie, it woks like this. Here, I’ll show you.” Cracked me up. She was showing her how to paint pictures on the phone.
My youngest, who is 4, likes to describe her nightmares to me in vivid detail. The other morning, she told me she had dreamed about this “Horrible, Ginormous, Freaky, Terrifying, Really Really Really Ugly Fire Zombie” who was trying to spit fire on her. She claims it “popped into her head” from a Scooby Doo movie. What got me laughing was the look on her face when she was giving me all those adjectives.
