I really like the covers I’ve heard for the song “Feelin’ Good” from a musical called The Roar of the Greasepaint—The Smell of The Crowd. The question I’m now posing is, has anyone ever heard of/seen this musical, and could you give me a summary and/or synopsis of it? Could you give me the context of the song as well?

Starring Anthony Newley…on Boadway in 1965.

All the info you need

HIs early Broadway musical, “Stop the World, I Want to Get Off” was more successful.

Oh my gosh, takes me back to my childhood. It was a wonderful and quite successful Broadway show starring the incomparable Anthoy Newley (who started as a British actor and turned out to be a fine singer. Yes,I saw it in NY.

I can still sing several of the songs (Mumbo jumbo, rhubarb, rhubarb, has Red China got the bomb? This is strictly entre-nous barb, etc)
Lyrics in proper order

It’s packed with wonderful songs that have become standards, including Who Can I Turn To and A Wonderful Day Like Today. Both of these have been covered by many, many male and female vocalists.
