There’s the old saying that :
“Living well is the best revenge.”.
And he is living very well indeed.
Revenge is a very distracting impediment to creativity. My guess would be that most likely he didn’t invest a significant amount of energy or time to it.
He just poured his energy into reviving the company. His fruity colored iMacs were the first step. They made quite a splash and put Apple back in the headlines.
Then the debut of the iPod followed by iTunes and the iTunes store.
He pioneered the ability for consumers to buy single songs rather than entire albums. .99 cent songs were unheard of prior.
And then a total burst of creativity. A smart phone that anyone could operate totally intuitively without reading a 16 page manual.
Yeah I’d say that’s enough living well revenge to be satisfying.
And a fantastic legacy.
