When taking man into account is mankind at the end of a beginning or the beginning of an end? At times with al the technology and medical wonders it seems as if man is poised to turn a page to greatness not seen before, but then the level of violence and malevolence as well as depleting makes me wonder, at least, if man is headed for a decline.

Neither.

I see man as being poised on a knife edge, on the one hand we have the resources and power to rid the world of hunger and create the sort of world that we would all like to live in. However we could all be blown to kingdom come at the whim of an insane dictator at any second.

I’m not holding out much hope for either, humans enjoy their knife edge lifestyle, thrive on it even. Its just the right balance of sensibilities and freedom for the time being.

I think we are headed for change but we will adapt, succeed ,overcome, and prevail.
