If you are talking about iron anemia, it will make you feel tired and weak. SlowFe over the counter iron pills are very effective at getting your numbers up. Assuming you don’t have any specific genetic diseases that are causing the anemia you should feel much better fairly quickly. When my iron is very low, confirmed with a blood test, I take two pills a day and a daily vitamin plus iron. The slowfe is best taken without food or with orange juice for absorption reasons, and I feel better within two weeks, then I lower it to one pill daily.
Side note: if there is any reason you might be losing blood like internal bleeding or if you notice blood in your stool that can contribute to low iron and should be checked out. But, most menstruating women struggle to keep their iron up.
If you are b12 deficient take a supplement of 500 daily, and if your number doesn’t go up, you might need the injections.
I don’t know much about other types of anemia. I have personal experience with those two.
