Is there any way I can record a live streamed webcast?
There is a live streamed webcast that I really want to watch. However, I happen to have class at that time. I can go to the site using my laptop, but I don’t actually want to watch it in class because that would be rude to the professor.
Is there any way I can record the live streamed webcast so I could watch it later?
If it helps, the stream would be on LexisNexis, the law database.

Screen capture software, if you look around on google and download.com you can probably find some free software that will record it. but it wil probably take up a lot of hard drive space.
Flashgot might do the trick, depending on the website and streaming format.
It’s a firefox plugin I use to download movies people don’t want me to download.
Open/install firefox and install the plugin, check the settings so it’ll actually do what you want.
Open the page with the stream and if you’re lucky there will be a little blinking symbol on the bottom right of the browser. Click it and your download will start. Since it’ll just wait for the clip to finish buffering it should get it all.
