Is there a website that can notify me by email about app updates?

Asked by erichw1504 (26453points) November 5th, 2010

I’m looking for a website that can send me an email every time there is an update to a specific app or even the most popular apps for the iPhone/iPod Touch.

I find myself constantly checking the App Store for updates almost once a day (I know a little obsessive). So, it would ease my suffering a little if I could just get updates via email.

Is there such a site? Is there another way to be notified of app updates?

Check on Google Alerts.

You’ll probably have to make a Google account first.

That probably didn’t help much

Twitter is pretty useful for stuff like this, most apps will have accounts you can follow.

@J0E This is true, I am currently following Angry Birds. But, I have to physically go to Twitter and sift through their tweets.

@J0E Your help has lead me to this!

@erichw1504 I have a desktop Twitter client, so it notifies me whenever I get a tweet.

@J0E If you follow a few people, wouldn’t that thing notify you just about every minute?

@erichw1504 I follow over a hundred accounts, and it’s really not as bad as you think. Sometimes there will be hours between tweets. Depends on the day.
