In 21 years I’ll be half a century old. I’ll probbaly like vampires even more at that point. So I’m still a kid. Can’t speak for you. Only you know that. Are you?

bob_'s avatar

Here’s looking at you, kid.

But, uh, no.

bea2345's avatar

Of course you are. Enjoy it while it lasts. Looking back, I am astonished at the number of things I did not know at 25.

You are as young as you feel. Remember that your mind controls your body and that also includes your physical and mental aspects.

Think young and your body will follow suit.

All I know is, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

I am twice your age and still a kid! Have a happy birthday and wear a silly hat tomorrow too!

FluffyChicken's avatar

Ooh! I know just the hat!

It depends on who you ask. When I was 18, I hung out with older people and I thought the 22 year old girls were so so old. Now I am 45 and think of 25 as a kid, but realistically, 25 is not a kid. 25 is old enough to know better, not to hide behind the excuse of being young and stupid, old enough to be legal in every way in every state, old enough to be responsible for your own actions, be in the military, vote. If you had a baby young enough, like age 12, and they did the same, 25 could be a grandmother!

Speaking from someone who is a “half a buck Chuck” I would gladly trade with you.

Well, no you’re not still a kid but I would probably refer to you as one, as I am rather ancient. You’re 25, that’s a young adult. You have at least some adult responsibilities I assume, yes. You can’t be a kid forever but 25 doesn’t exactly make you a stodgy old fogey. Do you “want” to be a kid forever? There are some terrific benefits to being a grown up, you know.

YARNLADY's avatar

To my standards, yes. My grandkids are around your age.

I second what @john65pennington said.
I am twice your age+ and I look and feel much younger. btw I also have a birthday coming up in exactly 2 more weeks.;-).
Happy Birthday from one August born child to another.

When I joined the Army at age 26 all the other 18 year old “trainees” in boot camp called me “the old man”. I’ll call you a young adult.

mazingerz88's avatar

As long as you call yourself FluffyChicken, well of course. : )

Thanks @AmWiser Happy Birthday to you too!

Sometimes it’s not the age that determine one’s maturity, it’s what lies in your heart. If you still feel youthful and childish in your heart then you’re still a kid, regardless of how old you are.

Judi's avatar

I’m more than twice your age and I still haven’t figured our what I want to be when I grow up.

jonsblond's avatar

Enjoy your age. Doesn’t matter how young you are.

It’s all in the mind.

sinscriven's avatar

I will be 27 at 5:47pm tomorrow afternoon. I still think i’m 25 and i still feel like i’m 18 and not grown up a bit. D:

Happy birthday to you and us both!! :3

Hypocrisy_Central's avatar

@jonsblond It’s all in the mind. When I think of dunking a basketball like I did more than a quarter century ago, my mind tells me I better stick to dunking donuts in coffee or I might see an ER.

Sunny2's avatar

It’s all relative. I’m a lot younger than many people my age and prefer it that way. On the other hand, I’ve met a lot of people younger than I chronologically, but much older and slower both physically, mentally and in spirit.

@Hypocrisy_Central I’m 40 now and I wish I could enjoy the true definition of weed. It doesn’t mean giggles and potato chip rampage, it means dirty nails and boob sweat. ;)

Happy birthday in advance [or if I’m late just Happy birthday].

You will forever be a kid [in your parents eyes, in your older family members].
But as long as you can bring the kid in you out just for fun and then hide it back it’s all good. Most say the kid in us wants to pop out sometimes, if you let it out but know when to stop him it’s all good. The law is saying we are not kids anymore at different ages 16/18/21 etc so when you get your driver license you can be a grown up [you are responsible for your own driving] or when you get the right to vote or when you can drink in public etc etc. You get the point.

sophiesword's avatar

technically no. But there’s always a little kid inside everyone !!
enjoy you birthday, hope you have a blast :)

Adirondackwannabe's avatar

You’re only as old as your inner child. Just be careful trying any real stupid physical stunts.

Roald Dahl said it best, I think: A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.

Even though you might be feeling as though 25 is a milestone that makes you “old”, you really are only as old as you feel. I didn’t have a problem with 25, but 28 was hard, as were 30 and 31. Enjoy your independence and responsibilities, but make time to be silly every so often. It’ll keep you sane.

Happy birthday!

FluffyChicken's avatar

Oh yes. I shall be silly till my last days, and possibly even longer.

Porifera's avatar

Yes, you are. You have a lot to see, a lot to learn and a lot to experience and most likely you still don’t know a lot of things that can only be understood in time.

SpatzieLover's avatar

You are still a spring chicken! even though you have a summer birthday

Wishes for the best year yet!
