Does he like me? help?
I know this is a dumb question but I just want to know… I’m in 8th grade. there is this Guy and he is showing mixed signals I think!
*he doesn’t hug me around his friends because well, you know how guys are…
*he hugs me when no one else sees or when his friends aren’t around
*when he hugs me its tight and around my waist… bodies pressed together my head on his chest <3 best feeling ever!
*he treats me differently than my friends but he is also best friends with his ex
*he doesn’t really get mad at me or yell at me
*he playfully says “I love you” and stuff like that
*he sits with me in 5th period unless one of his friends from his group of buddies is gone… then he sits with them </3
*today he was all interested in what I was going to be wearing for the banquet on the last day of school and he was trying to be a show off (like always)
*he sometimes talks about how he wishes he “had a girl” for the banquet but he never mentions a specific one when he’s around me…
I know I’m young but I need to know because I need a date for the 8th grade banquet and I really like this Guy;)

This isn’t a dumb question. Receiving mixed signals from another person is always perplexing.
As you must know, there is no way for any of us to tell solely based upon your perspective. The only way to find out is by asking him or just waiting to see if he makes the next move. I recommend the former. Some teen males are afraid to do so.
IMO, his discussion with you about the upcoming banquet sure sounds like he would like to go with you. How about something simple and safe like this? “Are you still planning on going to the banquet?” (His response: Yes) “If you aren’t planning to ask someone, would you be interested in going with me? I really enjoy your company and think it would be fun to sit with you.” With something like that, it leaves it pretty friendly in case he turns down the offer. You’ll also know where you stand with him.

Or tell your girlfriend to find out, that’s what we did. I think he likes you and wants you to say something, it’s cute.
On Monday I am going to have my friend portrayed a “concerned friend” and ask him if he likes me;) then Tuesday I will ask for his number!!
