Getting a credit report/score?

Asked by JonnyCeltics (2721points) June 27th, 2008

How do I get it for free? Does anyone else think that this should be an easier task? What are my options?

The following link goes to a government web page that talks about how to get your free credit report and how often you can view it and all of that stuff..

OK, I got the report, but what about the score. It says that you must pay for the FICO score….that’s BS!

yeah, you just get the report for free…i think the score is something that these credit companies come up with

The score is not available free anywhere that I have found.

try http://www.annualcreditreport.com
it’s free every 12 months.

There are a lot of providers but they usually charge for it. But when it comes to getting an accurate summary of your credit report, then it’s worth spending a little bit for it. I use http://www.creditreport.com/ and they charge just $1.
