Have you recently been ripped off by someone or a company?

Burger King pissed me off once. They were selling Dragon Ball Z figurines for two bucks if you bought a meal, and I really wanted one. So I get food, and ask to buy a figurine, but it turns out they were only selling them if you bought a kids’ meal. I didn’t want no fucking kiddy meal. It just never made sense to me. At all. Why couldn’t they just sell me one? :( Bungholes.

Yes. My first ad agency boss convinced me that investing $1,000 in her small agency would help me get ahead in it. ($1,000 was a LOT of money back then). A year later, when I resigned for a better job, she refused to return the money. (This was a private company which was making money hand over foot). A lawyer helped me get the money back and didn’t charge me a fee. I still have bad dreams about this crooked woman.

I ordered some curtains on line. The curtains were not good quality and I wanted to send them back. The instructions said to email the company and if they thought I had a valid reason to send them back, they would email me the instructions. I emailed them several times before they emailed me the instructions. I was to fold them and put them in the same packaging they came in, send them back via Fed Ex and insured. When they received them, they would determine if I got a refund. If not, I had the option of sending them MORE money so that they could Fed Ex them, insured to my house. If I didn’t want them returned, they would keep them.
Screw them. I will give to Goodwill.

I also went to their website and in the comment section told my story. They won’t publish my comments.

@LuckyGuy The company name is Swags Galore. I don’t know how they could stay in business by conducting business in this manner.

I bought a Bose stereo system for about $1,200 in 2002. It functioned great until last year when it just stopped working. I contacted Bose hoping that I could send them my stereo so that they would fix it and I was willing to pay for all of the repairs/parts. However I was told that my model was outdated and they no longer make parts for it and could not repair it. Bose did offer to send me a new updated sound system for $1,500 if I send them my old broken Bose system. I’m thinking that they’re trying to rip me off again.

True. On the other hand internet search engines reach around the World. A company name with the word “scam” nearby attracts SEO attention when others look. Mentioning the company name twice increases the relevance score.

I figure it is a chance for the little guy to push back even if it is only a bit.

Maybe i will take u up on that but in private as i am concerned about the internet global protocal vis a vis slander and lible… I am not a weallthy nor a connected jelly.
