With valentine's day around the corner what are your plans?

No. At most we’ll use it as an excuse to go out to dinner. Beyond that, nothing.

Stay home like I usually do for some regular me time.

We don’t hallmark holiday.

My husband’s birthday is on the 9th, and there’s new steakhouse we’ve been wanting to try, so we’ll go out then.

Also, February 15th half-price candy.

This year, it’s a double whammy. It is both Valentines Day AND Mother’s Day here in Norway. Mother’s Day is always the second Sunday in February, you see. I think Little Man wants to do something nice for his mom, so I might let him take me out to his favourite burger place. If he really wants to surprise me, he could clean his room. Valentines Day isn’t a big deal here.

Oh is it back on Valentine’s Day @dammitjanetfromvegas? Since Valentine’s Day happens here sooner than there, I’ll have to wait until the day after to do that.

Yes. I can’t wait!

Nothing. The wife and I don’t care about Valentine’s day. Though I do find it amusing that the name of a Christian martyr who was beaten to death with clubs then beheaded is now associated with a “holiday” manufactured for selling Hallmark cards, chocolates and expensive dinners.
