What's a good fully online college that gives out laptops that student keep upon graduation.

Asked by emorris24 (101points) August 27th, 2019

I’m looking to get my Bachelor’s in psychology so I can help veterans. I’m not a veteran but I’ve experienced similar traumatic issues from abuse and other trauma. I need a school that is fully online, and b4 I get any rude comments I have to do online school because I have a learning disability. This school also must give laptops that are included in the tuition and that I can keep upon graduation. I’d also like to know of schools with the above mentioned that I can get a degree with a focus on helping veterans. I want to open my own clinic.

To do this type of work, your education will have to be integrated with real-world experience.

You will have to sit in on sessions at a VA hospital or other counseling center. You will have to do internships or “practicums” You can’t learn it online. You can learn a lot online, true, but not how to interact with a real human being undergoing what veterans go through.

Besides that, if you want to open your own clinic. an internship and position with someone else for experience will be required first.

I would recommend a university with close access or connections with a live VA hospital that allows both laptop / at home participation AND practical, live experience and interaction.

Do you have an IEP from high school? If so, those requirements would apply to any college you’d go to.
