What Are The Best Games For iPods?

Asked by desiree333 (3241points) December 15th, 2008

For Christmas I’m going to get an iTunes gift card, and I want to buy some games, or movies. Any suggestions to which are the best games? worst?

I’ve heard that there’s a new Katamari Damacy coming out for the iPhone/Touch soon, I highly recommend the series, its a great fun game that would be awesome with the built in accelerometer.

There’s also a re-release of Sim City on the hardware, so if you’re a Sim City fan you’ll love that.

Deep Green is quite excellent. My four y.o. really enjoys playing it, too (which speaks more to its playability than to my boy’s genius factor).

Oh, and for free, I’ll mention JellyCar.

And looks like a whole new genre of gag apps will be available for you to choose from, too.

The only two I’ve spent money on are Kugon and Enigmo.

Kugon is a math type puzzler similar to Sudoku, but more fun in my opinion. Enigmo is kind of like the Incredible Machine, you move little springs and ramps and stuff around in order to guide drops of water into containers.

Pretty much all the other games I’ve seen haven’t been worth spending any money on, even $.99. One that is supposed to be good though is Fieldrunners. It was even on Time Magazine’s top 10 list for best games of the year. It definitely looks like one of the most polished games for the iPhone yet, I just haven’t gotten around to buying it yet.

my husband loves fieldrunners and galcon. I love word warp(it is free) and enigmo is cool.
