Barrak Obama posters?

Asked by LKidKyle1985 (6599points) February 17th, 2009

So I would really like to buy a Barack Obama HOPE poster. But I don’t know a whole lot about posters. I want one from the campaign, not a cheap reprint. But, how can I tell the difference? how do i know if someone is telling the truth? (yes I know ebay but how do i know its not a knock off reprint) I search and i get overwhelmed with poster info, different sizes print this print that blah blah blah. Any insight would be nice thanks guys!

I think he’s talking about the Shepard Fairey poster.

Oh, that “hope” one… well it seems like they aren’t reprinting anymore of those, so i’m not sure where you’d find an authentic one – http://obeygiant.com/headlines/obama

hmmm yeah I find some posters with signatures on it but they want a ridiculous amount for it. Maybe I can put a want to buy add in the paper or craigslist or something.

Call your local Democratic Party office. Those Hope posters were hanging in almost every Obama campaign office. Democratic Party offices probably still have a few around.

Yeah, we had a bunch in our offices, but they were all crappy prints. They weren’t the original Sheperd Fairey prints…I think there were only 350 of those.
