Truthers? Like 9/11 was a planned demolition? Obama wasn’t born in Hawaii?
Man, they ARE the propaganda machine!

DominicX's avatar

Yes. I’ll protest against them on it.

The_Compassionate_Heretic's avatar

I would say no because they haven’t made a contribution worthy of a holiday.

I will trade you Christmas for it.

December 25th is now for people that believe 9/11 was a inside job. And we don’t have to exchange gifts. Everyone wins!!

One man’s propaganda is another man’s truth.

One man’s truth is another man’s propaganda.

Jesus wasn’t actually born on December 25th, anyways…

Yes we have them, Martin Luther King Jr. birthday, Easter, Yom Kippur, Christmas Hanukkah….

Truthers? The conspiracy theorists who ignore all evidence that doesn’t fit their mindset? Ugh.

The first time I heard the word “truther” it was used as a perjorative, and I thought “how Orwellian.”

I doubt any so-called truther is interested in a holiday.

@SeventhSense, GA for MLK.

Is there a day where we celebrate tin foil? It can be on that day!

What version of the “Truth” would Truth Day be promoting?

avvooooooo's avatar

@SuperMouse I’m guessing the kind you need a lot of tin foil for.

potrick's avatar

I propose instead a holiday for Truthinessers.

avvooooooo's avatar

@potrick Are those the ones who are poking around the Loch?

We already have one, it’s called April Fool’s Day

Sounds fun – I would love to have the work day off for that holiday so I can watch the whole fiasco on television.

What is a truther’s day? What is a truther? Does this imply that most people are liars? It sounds a bit like the notion of “family values” to me. Family values means that most families are not families. Does truther mean that most truths are not truths?

Jenniehowell's avatar

@daloon I have found that though most truths are truths that they are not THE truth as much as to say they are instead A truth. We view the world from our experiences/baggage/knowledge so what is true for one may not be true for the other even though both may be somewhat true.

Rude_Bear's avatar

How about a holiday FROM Truthers… one day a year they have to keep their misguided conspiracies to themselves. I’d be all over that!
