Sending control codes to my CBM1000 printer?

Asked by grrgold (91points) November 22nd, 2009

I have a CBM 1000 receipt printer. I am trying to make it open my cash drawer and I have found the control codes to do this. I cannot however, find the place in the driver where the control codes must be entered so that the printer opens the drawer after every print. Any suggestions>

Ah, that printer still gives me nightmares. You can reach the drivers by going to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management. Now click on the tab on the left that says: Device manager. If you already installed the drivers for your printer, it should be there. Right click it on choose properties, if I remember correctly there is a tab for the codes (but it’s been a long time).

Ps. In case you don’t have a manual.

markyy… thanks, but that sends me back to the printer’s folder to configure the preferences from there. other suggestions?

Well not anything concrete. Right clicking the printer and choosing properties should the same effect and get you a tab for the settings you are looking for. I don’t have access to one of those printers anymore, so it’s not like I can check it for you (and my memory is failing me).
