@zenvelo I totally forgot about Toy Story 3. I almost had to leave the room during that scene where the little girl accidentally leaves her toys behind in the park and then the toys realize that she’s gone. I’m about to cry now, just thinking about it.
And I cannot watch Dumbo ever again because of that scene where Dumbo’s mom is locked in the train car and is rocking Dumbo in her trunk, but she can’t get to him.
And there’s an awful scene in When Harry Met Sally when Meg Ryan says to Billy Crystal (after she was dumped by her boyfriend of many years) “He wanted to get married, he just didn’t want to marry me.”
Then there’s a really wonderful, happy scene (that makes me cry tears of joy) when Captain Von Trapp (Christopher Plummer) goes out into the garden to find Maria (Julie Andrews) to tell her that he was in love with her from the very beginning. That scene is just about my favorite scene from any movie.
I had a similar reaction recently while watching re-runs of the Nanny (which I recently started watching after having never seen the show) and at one point Maxwell (her boss, who’s she’s been secretly in love with for years) says something about finally telling a person that you love them. Then Fran says something like “When does that part happen?” and then Maxwell says, “I love you Fran, I love you, I love you, Iove you!” And their secret love and longing for each other is finally revealed. I never watched that show during it’s original run because it looked corny, but it has a really great “will they or won’t” they love story. And they’re so cute together!
